APPROACH
I value empirical evidence-based approaches that provide efficient and effective therapy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based practice supported by a large body of empirical research. CBT is a structured approach that prioritizes efficient, problem-focused, and goal-oriented psychotherapy. CBT examines client’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and how they influence their anxiety, depression, relationships, core values, and underlying assumptions. The fundamental principle of CBT is the understanding that how people understand the world and how they think influences how they feel and behave. Essentially, peoples’ thoughts, feelings, and behaviors interact and maintain their issues. I utilize solution focus and problem-solving interventions to compliment CBT methods.
